Justin Reis. Mark Schwindenhammer. 289 Main. Hampton, CT.

ABOUT THE BRAND

The story of 289 Main begins with an early 19th-century farmhouse bought out of foreclosure and in need of more TLC than we thought we had in us. Originally a weekend escape from NYC, 289 Main has taught us patience, an appreciation for things that once were, and a love of the natural world around us.
(It’s also taught us to perfect our martini recipe.)

289 Main is now our full-time residence and home to a wood shop, pottery studio, dozens of chickens, and our two Italian Greyhounds—Scout and Webster. It’s been a base for our creative pursuits and event design work; and now we’re an extending an open invitation to everyone.

Here, we offer the products we make alongside objects from other makers we admire, antiques and heirloom objects found during our travels, and essentials that we can't live or entertain without.

Like it’s namesake, 289 Main is ever-evolving, with a new rotation of products being offered on a rolling basis. It’s a place we hope you visit again and again.
