Because it is! Our Old Things are a collection of antique and heirloom objects that have lived entire lifetimes before they make their way to you. They’ve collected a beautiful patina from the homes they’ve already lived in—it’s what we love most about them.

Right now, eggs and flowers grown here at 289 Main are only available through our cart in Northeast CT. Throughout the growing season, we offer specific items—like dahlia tubers—for you on the website.

SHIPPING & POLICIES
SHIPPING
Your order will ship directly from Connecticut. Given the continued rise of shipping costs, we offer shipping for a base rate of $8, and an additional $2 per item. Expedited shipping is available for a base rate of $20, plus an additional $2 per item.
We are currently only shipping within the United States. If you are interested in placing an international order, please reach out directly.
ORDER TIMELINE
All orders will be packed & processed within 5 business days. (We’re a small team!)
Once shipped, your order should be home with you within 3-5 days depending on where it’s heading.
Once your order ships, we will send you an email with tracking information.
Our friends at UPS and the USPS have a lot going on. Unfortunately, we cannot be responsible for any carrier-related delays.
RETURNS & EXCHANGES
We want you to love what you order. If, for whatever reason, you don’t we would be happy to accept a return in exchange for store credit.
If an item arrives damaged, or is incorrect, email us with your order number and we will make it right.
